About Me / Contact

I am a native Oregonian and enjoy being outdoors. I grew up bird hunting doves, quail, pheasants and waterfowl at a young age having been taught by my dad.  He instilled in me at a young age the wonders of hunting and the responsibilities of stewardship to protect our natural world and that which lives there.
I have spent the better part of 35 years hunting birds and just recently began hunting big game in 2001. I enjoy all types of hunting and look forward to the challenges that come along with the respective quarry.

I have done a lot of fly fishing also. I especially enjoy swinging Steelhead flies on a late summer's afternoon in hopes of that explosive surface take on a floating line. If you haven't experienced it, I highly suggest giving it a try. Yet be warned, once bitten you'll be seriously hooked.

I am a retired athlete and still work at staying in shape. Now for the long haul and hunting. I've learned that taking care of myself is the best insurance I have, and the cheapest too. Though my serious athletic years are behind me I still enjoy road cycling, cross fitness and stand up paddling. Being physically fit is a must for hunting, at least in my book

Thanks for visiting Women's Hunting Journal and a piece of my world.  I welcome any inquiries you have and will do my best to respond in a timely manner.

Take care and stay passionate!
